MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

HO HO HO!!!!!
(stuff political correctness!)
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

It's Christmas Day!!! What have you been up to?! What did you do today?

Yes.... I have been missing in action. The last time I blogged, it was the day before we left for our Singapore holidays. Why didn't I say anything? Well, Peter kind of said we can't announce it to the whole wide world (i.e. our postman and the net in general) cos then our house might get broken into. Kinda far fetched, but kinda made sense too. hehehe.....
We went there for my brother's wedding and stayed for 2 weeks. Ellen and Phaedon had a ball doing their flowergirl and pageboy business. It was a traditional Chinese ceremony with groom picking up the bride from her house, and coming back to groom's parent's house for the tea ceremony, and then back the bride's house for their tea ceremony, ... and then the dinner reception at night. Tea ceremony basically involves the couple serving tea to the elders (parents, aunties, uncles... elder brothers/sisters... etc) and the younger ones will serve tea to the couple. So.... Peter and I got 'served' by the couple ... and our kids got to 'serve' them tea! They kinda did it for the little red packet they will get at the end of it. hahaha...

So what DID my kids do for flowergirl and pageboy? Well, all was required of them, was to look pretty and cute in their outfits ... like so...

.... and threw flower petals whilst the couple marched in, like so....

As you can see, Ellen had no problem fulfilling her duties, but my son needed the coaching and hoaxing! He forgot the petals while he marched, and forgot to march while he did the petals! Typical male... can't multi-task! LOL...

Overall, the kids had a ball while in Singapore. I was very glad that my parents got to enjoy them a little bit more this time as they are a bit older. I took this really gorgeous photo of my Dad and Ellen ...

and a very nice LONG-overdued family photo ...

When our holiday was over, we came home in early December to a mad rush for Christmas. Christmas shopping, HEAPS of scrapbooking deadlines, kinder duties, kinder Christmas parties, teacher's Chrissie presents, gift wrapping, Christmas tree... etc etc etc. Hence... no time to blog. Given that I've taken the entire post to explain why I haven't blogged, and posted some nice piccies, am I forgiven yet? **grin**

How about some silly piccies of my children trying on Peter's Harley Davidson bike gear?

Phaedon woke up this morning and went STRAIGHT to the Christmas tree to find all the presents Santa had left for them. He was soooo excited that he woke up the whole household so they can open up the presents. So we spent the next 3-4 hours opening presents, and setting them up. BOY did the kids get spoilt this year! Ellen got a handheld Leapster and lots of cartridges to go with it, a telescope, a toy xylophone, 2 Island Princess Barbie dolls and her carriage, an MB game - Operation, and an Electronic Interactive World Map game. The Phaedster got an Ultimate Transformer Bumblebee, a Robo dinosaur (remote controlled dinosaur with sensors and stuff), a moving and roaring Spinosaurus, MORE Disney Pixar toy cars, a Whack-A-Mole game, a Fisher-Price handheld game, and a Batman toy. Peter spent HEAPS of time assembling the Transformer toy AND the Robo dinosaur. Living room was chaos .... still chaos. I'll post more piccies another day :)

Hope you've had a wonderful day today.
