My new year so far ....

Oh .... where do I start? It's been 2 weeks!!! Once again, I fell off the blogging wagon. I'm sorry if you have been coming here in vain.

Well, let's see.

We had the most wonderful New Year's Eve. We were invited to my BIL/SIL's place for dinner. I didn't have to prepare anything. Just brought ourselves, and had the best dinner. They had barbequed chicken wings and prawns!!!!! A very good friend of hers brought a pasta salad which was just soooo simple and flavoursome. Peter and I sat at the dining table where all the food were, while most of them dined outside on the patio. I swear, I was just going for the prawns, like there was no tomorrow. I think many people were just lazy to peel the prawns. But I don't have a problem peeling prawns. The peeling process is part of the enjoyment of having prawns - sucking and slurping the juices of the shells (and head) .... oooohhh.... yummm.... I would have had at least a dozen and more (and they were LARGE prawns).

After that we stayed for poker game, taught my SIL and her girlfriend how to play the game, and we all had a ball just watching them place their bets. It was just too funny. Kids crashed on the couch... then midnight came, there were some lovely fireworks on display all around. And we continued out poker game till 3am in the morning. My FIL came up the winner.

There is nothing much that happened for the 1st week of 2007. Apart from my tonsilitis still not going away and I finally saw my doctor and gave me a double course of penicillin (and he said that if this doesn't work, we might have to explore options .... WHAT OPTIONS?????!!!!!!), everything else is good.

I hope you are having a great year so far too. Here are some layouts I did over last week or so.

10 years - EDM December LO #1
Journaling: A decade of experiences. Some were great memories, other I cannot wait to forget. But throughout the ten years, I have always been surrounded by wonderful people. Then there were friendships, now I have something more - my family.

Other journaling spots read
- Asst. Producer for Cool Dance '96. This was one of the most memorable experience I have ever had. Just meeting all the people!!!
- Weekly Friday drinks with Rosalyn, Denise and the colleagues of EDS. These were always filled with fun and laughter... and ... some alcohol.

Life as a Phaedster - EDM December LO #2 (If you don't know by now, Phaedon is my son's name.)
Journaling: For 3.5 years of my life, I've got my mum wrapped around my little finger. I can get away with almost anything with my cutest grin. Then I give her my infectious chuckle, and that always works wonders. I still get my time-outs every now and then, but it's not hard to get back into her good books. She loves my cuddles and kisses. And she melts everytime I say ... "I love you TOOOO!!!!"

Mothering You - EDM December LO #3
Journaling: Yes, you might say you've got me wrapped around your little finger, but you may not know that I do have some tricks up my sleeves, to make you behave like a nice little boy should. What can I say??!! I am a mother. And I need these surviving tips! The best buy so far - kitchen timer! Not only is it used to set the time for your time-outs, it is also used to limit how long each of you have before you have to give up a toy you are fighting over. MOst times, you will forget even before the time is up! This is just one of my secrets. All you need to know, is that most times, I think three steps ahead of you!! It's my job, my daily routine and my life at the moment!

Fun ... is what you make it - This is a DT layout for The Scrapbook Scene. Using Fancy Pants Clair de Lune papers. The close up shot will show some 3D elements on the LO.

Father-Son Rule - This is my December DT LO for Scrap Pile. I used the Scenic Route Rockland kit that is now available in the store.

Journaling - Like the Father-son rule in the sport of Aussie Rules football, you are not required to go through any stringent selection criteria. You can and will play in my club, anytime. Because like your father, you are a champion in my heart.

By the way, if you have never visited Scrap Pile's forum, you are welcomed to come and have a lurk if you'd like, or even join in the fun. We have our Weekly Scrap Bingo games you can join to win prizes. On Friday, 12th January 2007, there will be a cyber crop where there are challenges and ..... you said it... more Bingo games. You have up to Sunday to post your layouts in the gallery. Of course, there are prizes for everything! CLICK HERE FOR MORE DETAILS!!!

OK... that's all folks. Till next time....
